REASON NUMBER ONE:

TOO LOWBROW

They shy away from anything of this sort. No poop jokes, no projectile vomiting, and certainly nothing coming in or out of noses. (I know … what else is there?) I for one have done scores of scatological jokes over the years and never sold one. But what are you gonna do? Stop doing ’em? The funny thing is, when you spend all day trying in vain to create little diamond-cut tidbits of sophisticated, highbrow humor, nothing makes you giggle at the drawing board like a good old-fashioned farting elephant gag. Alas.
