Chapter 18
Rob took the empty bowl from her and set it on the counter. He focused on her again. Jesus, every time he saw her, took in her features, his breath was lost. So fucking beautiful.
But more so now that he’d distracted her from whatever grumpy mood she was in and she had lust pumping through her system. At first he’d thought maybe she was upset that he’d stopped by unannounced. After a few minutes, he was pretty sure that wasn’t it.
Could be female time of the month related. If so, he wasn’t a stupid man; he wasn’t going to ask her. He’d find out one way or another soon enough.
Rob cupped her face in his palms and bent to her mouth once more. This time, he flicked his tongue over her bottom lip and did the same to the top, coaxing her open. “Give me your sweet tongue, baby.”
Heather touched her tongue to his and let out a soft moan, one he felt deep in his gut. Rob gave her his own moan, curling his tongue around hers, before covering her mouth with his and kissing her deep. Needing to feel more of her, he ran his hands down her sides and pulled up her thin top, revealing her breasts to him.
Her skin was as smooth as satin, and another moan escaped him when he palmed both her bare tits and flicked his thumbs over her pebbled nipples. Placing his palms under both of her arms, Rob picked her up and set her on the counter in her kitchen.
Pulling from her lips, he pressed his face to her sternum and just breathed her in. God help him, he couldn’t get enough of her. Heather wrapped her arms around his head, holding him to her. Soft and warm. Sweet and—
She stroked the hair on the back of his head. “Honey… I’m sorry but…”
He pulled back and looked up at her. “What’s up, babe?”
“Tricks is just…” She bit her bottom lip and glanced at Tricks. “Is he going to watch us? I mean, is it weird that I’m kind of freaked out about that?”
Rob chuckled. “Well, he’s not a person.”
She blew out a breath. “Well yeah, I mean, I know he’s not a person. But it’s like he knows what we’re doing.”
Rob flicked his thumbs over her nipples again. “He might know. He’s male and smart, but trust me, he’s not going to join us. Unless…wait—” He tipped his chin down, raising his brows. “That’s not your thing, is it?”
“Oh my God, no!” The horrified look that came over her face was hilarious, and Rob couldn’t contain the laugh that burst out of him.
With the cutest frown on her face, Rob finally managed to get his fit of laughter under control. How the hell did she even make frowning adorable? He shook his head, unable to hide his smirk. “You can relax, I’m totally kidding. You should see your face.” He chuckled. “Even when you know I’m kidding, it’s like you don’t trust it and then get annoyed and agitated, and I think that’s beautiful.
