Iruda

When Reign pulled away from our kiss, I was overwhelmed by how deeply I yearned for her and what an impact she had on me. She made me feel alive on a whole new level. It was like my life had never really begun until we’d locked lips.

“What’s wrong? You’re not going to act shy, are you?” I joked before I nibbled on her neck.

The sweet scent of her skin was enough to stir me up. Fuck. Just one whiff and I was already goddamn intoxicated.

She giggled. “That tickles.”

“Good.” I nuzzled her collarbone. “Because I want it to tickle.”

I should’ve stopped, but every last inch of me was dazzled by her sublime beauty. My mouth traveled back up to meet her plump pink lips. As we kissed for the second time, frantically tasting and exploring each other with our tongues, my hands ran down the small of her back.

“Iruda,” she moaned.

I flashed her a devious grin before pulling off her baggy T-shirt to expose her soft skin and luscious curves. Damn. She had the most phenomenal breasts—the mix of two skin tones only added to their charm. I squeezed them and brought my face in to wrap my lips around her taut nipple. However, when I looked up, I detected a look of alarm in her eyes. I dropped my hands.

“Is something wrong?” I asked.

“No! It’s not that,” she exclaimed, flinging her T-shirt over her breasts.

“Then why—”

But as I told you before, other than my sister, everyone on Earth never gave me a real compliment. On the other hand, they’ve always been quick to point out my flaws, especially my stepdad. Ever since I was a kid, he’d tell me how ugly I was. He said I had the face of a demon, just like my biological father,” she confessed.

“What a piece of shit,” I growled.

She took her glasses off and held them up. “I know. He didn’t like the fact that I needed these either. Sometimes, he’d snatch my glasses off my face and shout out that it wasn’t feminine to wear heavy, thick glasses. God knows why he wanted me to fit his conception of femininity. I was his stepdaughter, not his freaking girlfriend.”

Even though Reign’s stepdad was dead now, and he could never hurt her again, it made me so fucking angry when I thought of what she must’ve gone through over the years. If I could go back to the day Kilan killed her stepdad, I would’ve stepped in and insisted that I wanted to finish the motherfucker off myself. The piece of shit deserved a brutally slow and agonizing death.

After she released a feeble sigh, she put her glasses down on the ground beside her and glanced at me. “What do you think? I know it’s not like I instantly transform into someone pretty the second I take them off, but still,
