Morning came and I didn’t know how to word it without Eren being upset with me. So I went down to bathe, I could hear Luna there laughing. I hoped it was Axoh because Eren had told me he wanted to come with me. I couldn’t say no, I was already struggling to tell him about the tapping guy and the fact I had been sneaking kisses with Zezii. Actually, that might ease the blow a little.

Lying about who I was kissing at night was wrong and I took a deep breath as I held Eren’s hand down to the water.

“My heart, what is the matter?” He was worried about me… Oh god. A tear sprang from my eye.

“I have a secret to tell you…” The way he looked at me like I hung the stars and the moon nearly broke me. I took a deep breath. “I have been secretly kissing Zezii at night when you and Tyee are asleep.” I took a step back but he held me tighter. Oh fuck, he was mad.

“This is only a secret to the clan. We know this Quinn. It is why we do not mind when you leave the hut at night. We know it is to kiss Zezii. We watched you leave to sit with him the first night, but when he told us that it was a secret we did not wish to make you feel uncomfortable with your affections to him.

“I felt like I had upset you into feeling ashamed when I told you he was young. So when he told us that he had asked for you to consider him and you accepted I knew I had made a mistake with you. I didn’t know your feelings for him were so strong, my heart.”

He told them? This whole time I thought I was just sharing secret kisses and feeling guilty, but really, Zezii had told them both. I felt relieved, yet a little annoyed that Zezii couldn’t keep a secret.

“How long have you known?” I was so lost. He just smiled at me and touched my face gently, stroking along my jawline.

“Nvaa came and told us of his asking you to consider him, that same day Zezii had told us he asked you the same thing and you also accepted. I was glad of this. You asked many times when we got here about how you wanted to take Zezii as a mate—” I put my hand over his mouth to stop him from talking.

“I did not ask many times,” I chuckled with a huge smile on my face. I didn’t want Luna to think I was some cradle snatcher was all. He shook his head and I could feel the rumble of his chest as he laughed. Cheeky ass.

“Zezii wanted to be your mate, and we could tell by the way you touched him that you did too. We see this, we know you touch him like you touch us. He told us of how you are waiting until his eighteenth birthday.
