Physical Responses to Energetic Information
Energetic Mechanisms
Disease is . . . not something local, not an affectation of the parts, but it is the state of being of the whole person at the time.

ENERGY AFFECTS PHYSIOLOGY
Electromagnetic conditions created in oneâs personal quantum field influence our susceptibility to the environmental factors described in the previous chapter. Under suboptimal conditions when that field energy is compromised, the quantum genetic information transmitted through the field as light is not properly modulated. This degrades the quality and accuracy of the information received and transmitted by our quantum DNA to our biological DNA instruction sets and creates the corresponding dysfunction at the cellular and genetic level based on this information. When the energetic properties of our cells are altered in this manner, we become far more vulnerable to any detrimental external effects that may pose a threat to normal cellular health and immunity such as toxins, trauma, infection, or similar stresses, as well as any genetic propensity to inherited disease.
Bruce Lipton believes the cell is a âprogrammable chipâ whose biological behavior and gene activity are controlled by environmental signals, not genes. He explains the role of integral membrane proteins (IMPs), known as receptors and effectors, in this process. Receptor proteins function as molecular ânano-antennasâ located inside and outside the cells that are tuned to respond to certain environmental signals in the form of energy. The cells change shape from an inactive to an active configuration, depending on the electrical charge, creating what is known as an effector protein. He refers to this receptor/effector combination as the âfundamental units of cellular intelligenceâ or âunits of perceptionâ because they operate dynamically by responding to the energetic stimulus that is outside themselves, not by their genetic coding. The effector proteins respond to the incoming signal, interpret the information, and instigate a biological cellular response. These IMPs or their by-products provide signals that control the binding of the chromosomeâs regulatory proteins that form a sleeve around the DNA, and the âreadingâ of the genes so that worn-out proteins can be replaced or new proteins can be created.2 This means, according to Lipton, that genes themselves do not control their own activity, but rather, the receptor-effector mechanism does in response to the energetic environmental signals it receives.
In his article âThe Electrical Properties of Cancer Cells,â Dr. Steve Haltiwanger describes how these cell receptors are activated by electrical fields via vibrational resonance, when the frequencies and amplitudes are correct. He says, âelectrical oscillations can alter the electrical charge distribution in cell receptors causing the receptors to undergo conformational change just as if the receptor was activated by a chemical signal.â3 The oscillation of the electrical field affects cell receptors that respond by switching back and forth between conformations; this then turns on the activity of membrane-embedded enzymes that trigger specific cellular metabolic processes.
