The following list includes the basic adjectives and their shortened forms in context.

Note the accent mark on the shortened forms algún and ningún. Remember that cien and ciento are adjectives of quantity.

Cien is used for the number one hundred before a plural noun (masculine or feminine).

Ciento appears in numbers 101 and higher.

San, the shortened form of the adjective Santo, is used with all masculine names of saints. Exceptions are Santo Domingo and Santo Tomás.
