Instead of cleaning delineators (steel posts with reflectors) on state highways with buckets and brushes, workers figured out how to use a pump already on the trucks to create a high-pressure spray cleaner so they will no longer have to get out of the truck. This saved major amounts of time, and resulted in a more effective and safer cleaning process. Cost: $40 per truck.

Before, adjusting clutches on trucks required a worker to sit inside the cab to hold the pedal down. A simple clutch-pedal holder invented by a worker eliminated the need for the second worker. The same concept was also applied to brake adjustments.
