Chapter Seven
The Quadrangle
The quadrangle is the area of the palm that lies between the heart and head lines. In an average quadrangle, the two lines are between half an inch and an inch apart for most of their length and widen at each end. Naturally, this varies depending on the size of the hand.
People with average quadrangles are easy to get on with, possess a good sense of humor, and are generally upbeat and positive. If the heart and head lines gently curve, they also have a good balance between emotion and logic.
If the heart and head lines are close together for much of their length, the person will be narrow-minded, self-centered, and lack imagination and a sense of humor. There is always a degree of nervous tension in the person when his or her quadrangle is overly narrow.
When the heart and head lines are well apart, the person will be independent, sociable, and outgoing. He or she will have a strong desire to please others. The further apart the heart and head lines are, the more outgoing, spontaneous, and extroverted the person will be.
