What’s an Eco Church? I hear you ask. (You can ask it out loud now if you want. You don’t have to. The book can’t hear you.)

An Eco Church is a church that’s joined an awards scheme run by a charity called A Rocha UK. It shows that your church is serious about helping to protect this lovely creation.

Churches earn points by doing the right things to look after the planet. Those points earn a Bronze-, Silver- or Gold-level Eco Church award.

Send your church leader to <www.ecochurch.arocha.org.uk>. On that website, leaders can answer a few questions about things to do with your church.

•Worship and teaching Do your leaders make planet-saving sermons?

•Buildings Who supplies the electricity? What cups do you drink from?

•Land Is the land your church is on wildlife-friendly?

•Community and global Doing and helping...Writing to your MP too (see page 17)!

•Lifestyle How we travel to church. What we throw away. What we eat...

That could just mean sharing ideas from this book with your church! Plus your own BRILLIANT ideas too, of course. Speaking of which...
