Developing the attitude

In this section we are going to look at an exercise to develop a great winning attitude for going in to job interviews. Let’s start by defining that attitude in positive terms. Here are a few statements that I think are useful in demonstrating a good winning attitude:

I have selected this job and company because I will be good for them and they will be good for me

I want to give this company the opportunity to see how much benefit I would be for them

There are lots of jobs for me to choose from, this one is no more important than any of the others

I am testing them to make sure this is an organisation I would be proud to work for

I am going to have fun in this interview and just see how much I can excite the interviewer with how good a candidate I am
