Putting the Devil on the Run

Put on all of God’s armor. Then you can stand firm against the devil’s evil plans.

EPHESIANS 6:11

In Ephesians 6:11-18, Paul talks about one of the more important things in Christian living: the armor of God. When a soldier goes into battle, he needs protection. He needs weapons. He needs a leader.

It’s all there in Ephesians 6. Paul warns us to put on the armor so we can stand against the devil’s plans. What does the devil want to do?

Make you sin.

Make you turn from God.

Make you give up the faith.

He starts with sin. If he gets you sinning enough, he figures he can then get you to turn from God. And his ultimate plan is to make you give up your faith. It all starts with little sins that get bigger and bigger.

What sins are you letting creep into your life? Confess them and stop them today. Or the devil will have you for lunch tomorrow.
