MYSTERIES.
I stand by the tideline
Of the restless high seas,
Suffused by a myriad
Of compelling arcane mysteries,
And a multitude of unbeknowns
And endless inscrutabilities,
From far and near,
Fore and aft,
Alpha to omega,
To the uttermost,
With never any sense of dearth
From the four corners of the earth.
The artist wind
Paints his blue canvas
With swan white cumulus clouds,
Creating all around me
Ravishing skyscapes bounteously.
A dark Frigate bird,
Sovereign, commanding,
Glides silently past
On puissant wings,
Then soaring hard and fast,
For they are the longest wingspan
In all of birdland.
His wings are never fluttered
Remaining unperturbed, fixed and tranquil.
For the Frigate tracks down masterly
The speediest most propulsive
Jet streams that thrust forcefully
His receptive, stalwart, wind catching
Always still wings
With the greatest propelling impetus,
Head winds, tail winds,
High altitude windsâ spurring stimulus,
All carrying him at full blast velocity
With no wings entirely,
Thus expending little energy,
As a result,
The Frigate stays aloft miraculously
For many a day,
Some say weeks,
See him now
Traveling far and away,
Super high into the sky,
Now a speck I can barely espy
As the Frigate seeks.
To glide effortlessly
Over the cloud capped mountain peaks.
Pray, who was the hatching originator
That conceived and contrived
Those peerless, wondrous wings,
Fashioned so ideally,
So flawlessly,
So superlatively,
So mysteriously.
