Reduce dental visit anxiety

Most people dread going to the dentist, and some dread it more than others. When I was a child, I had a full-blown dental phobia, and once I even passed out in the dental chair. You can prepare beforehand, much like through the steps in the exercise on flying (here). Do what works for you. One solution is to stay present with the procedures and breathe into the sensations, but for others, it may be more helpful to use imagery of a favorite peaceful place and focus breathing there.
