Chapter 17
âThank you for calling 24 Hour Fitness, this is Spencer,â the sexy voice boomed on the other end of the line. âHeeeeey sexy, whatâs going on?â Sidney asked.
âHey, Sid...girl Iâm blessed and always favored, hahaha! Whatâs going on with you? What are you up to boo?â Spencer asked as he excused himself from the conversation and walked away with his phone in hand.
Sidney climbed into the driverâs seat of her newly repaired 2012 Honda Civic and turned the ignition. âWell, I figured I could use a drink, and if you want to join me, Iâll treat. I called Kandy, but her ass is in Europe,â she began. âOh, and that bitch didnât invite us!â interrupted Spencer.
âNo, she needed extra money, so she took this add-on flight. What time do you get off today?â Sidney asked. Glancing at the clock hanging behind his desk, Spencer sighed, âI get off at 6, but I was gonna go to dinner with my bae. What you planning? I can always change my schedule for you,â he offered.
Grateful for a friend like Spencer she smiled and said a silent, âThank you,â before she responded, âYeah, letâs go downtown and have a couple of margaritas so I can blow off some steam,â Sidney said quickly before he changed his mind. âOk, Iâm down with that, what time are we going? Am I riding with you?â Spencer asked.
âI want to go about 8, and yes, Spencer, I will chauffeur you tonight,â she offered as a consolation. Spencer quickly agreed to the arrangement. âThank you, and Iâll be good and thirsty, and I mean that in more ways than one,â Spencer said, laughing as he hung up the phone.
Sidney was on time; she reached the front of Spencerâs condo, rolled the passenger window down and asked the doorman to ring his condo to let him know that she was downstairs so she wouldnât have to park.
Spencer answered right away, and it seemed like he teleported down because when she looked up, he was sitting in the passenger seat, smelling so good.
Spencer had on charcoal colored hip-hugging pants and a black bodysuit and some charcoal and black shoes. He was looking and smelling good. âDamn, Spencer, you act like you meeting somebody here,â Sidney said with a hint of envy. âYou never know who I may run into, I do know a few people in town boo,â Spencer responded trying not to laugh.
They reached downtown and boy was it crowded. They decided to valet park to save themselves trouble parking and time. As they walked into the bar, Sidney saw Arturo Garcia standing by the door, and was wondering what he was doing in the bar in uniform.
She looked at him, but Garcia was turned in the opposite direction, talking to another officer. Spencer saw both of the officers standing there, and he yelled out,âArtie!â
Garcia turned around, smiled and started walking towards Spencer with a look of lust in his eyes. As he was about to give Spencer a deep hug, Sidney stepped from behind Spencer, and spoke, âHey Officer Garcia.
