Chapter Seventeen

“I tried,” Naomi told me, three days later.

“Tried what?”

“To find a date.”

“Don’t think that means you’re not invited,” I said.

“If I’m still welcome, with or without a date, then I’ll be there.”

“Good. I’ll see you in an hour, then.”

I drove home. On the radio, I listened to Christmas music, singing along. I couldn’t have been happier. I lived in a beautiful home in a beautiful place with a beautiful woman who treated me wonderfully. I had a great job working for a great boss who also treated me wonderfully.

Well, now that we’d moved past the whole “stuff me into her nasty chair and make me stare at other women’s chests” thing. But really, even that was kind of funny.

Embarrassing, but funny.

When I pulled up, the house looked fantastic. We’d already been decorating, but only inside. Violet must have worked from the minute I’d left this morning, as the outside was draped in evergreen garlands and lights, similar to Naomi’s house for the party. It looked quite festive.

I parked and headed in then stopped in shock.

Violet was dressed up in a sexy Santa costume. Oh, it wasn’t tacky. It was actually quite sweet, and she looked really cute. “Oh my god,” I said.

She smiled. “You have time to get ready. I already set out your clothing.”

“You did not.”

“You will wear what I set out.”

“Does it resemble what you’re wearing?”

“Yes, and I have hats and shawls for our guests, too.”

I laughed. “Fine, fine, but I think you should help me get dressed.” I looked around. “The house looks amazing, Violet. Did you work all day?”

“Yes. I’m glad you like it.” She stepped forward and pulled me into a kiss. I found myself petting her clothes. The fur was soft and sleek. Then my hands discovered they could slip inside, and I found some bare skin.

She shivered under my touch, which made me smile. “I think I like you dressed this way.”

“I like when you touch me this way.” Then she pulled away and pointed. “Go.”

“Going,” I said. “I’m going. Oh. Naomi isn’t bringing a date. I told her she’s coming anyway.”

“That’s fine,” Violet said. She patted my bottom then gave me a push. “Go. Don’t make me greet our guests alone.”

I hurried upstairs, shedding clothing on the way. I took care of what I’d been wearing then headed for the bathroom. I hurried through everything, then, still naked, headed back into the bedroom.

My costume wasn’t identical to Violet’s, but it was very similar. It really would be cute, although I realized she’d given herself a little treat for later. Not only did she have the costume, but she had all the underthings as well, and they were sexy with a capital sexy.

Okay, that doesn’t make sense, but I bet you know what I mean, anyway.

Sexy, black bra. Sexy undies. Sexy garter belt and stockings. There were new, black boots. I pulled on a red velvet dress with white, faux fur edging. Wide, black belt. And there was a similar shawl, tied at my neck, but open in a reverse vee.
