Jessie came out during this time so Jules asked if she was coming.

“Oh, no dear, I have to clean up the house,” she replied.

“But it would be boring,” he told no one in particular.

“No it won’t you are going to meet new friends, have fun and daddy is going to get you ice cream,” she informed them.

“Yippee!!” they screamed. “Ice cream.”

"We've got just minutes to get dressed," Patrick announced.

The duo rushed to their rooms to get dressed.

Patrick did the same. The weekend was the only time of his life that he could dress casually. It was the one thing he loved about the weekend. Raised as a boy in Compton where he’d attended a high school that mandated the putting on of suit and tie, a suit and a tie every day of his life literally spelt torture.

After a few minutes, Patrick could hear his Christiana informing Jessie what she would do the moment she arrived the park. First, they were going to ride the roller coaster and also play games to win toys. He yawned, looked at himself in the mirror then, at the picture hanging on the wall before heading out.

“Now who’s ready to have fun?” Patrick walked in with all the vitality and vigor he could garner.

“WHEEEEEEEE!” they shouted.

Jessie held the door for the kids to leave the house when Patrick was about to leave, she turned to her.

“We can still call the cleaners so you could take the kids out, you know that right?” he asked.

“And what will you be onto?” Jessie asked surprised.

“Follow my to-do list for the day,” he responded indifferently.

“And what would that be?”

“Sleep and sleep and sleep on,”

Jessie pushed him softly outside.

“Have a nice day,” she greeted before closing the door.

She later turned towards the mess that she was about to clean and gave a loud sigh.

“And your idea wasn’t a bad one,”

Patrick and the kids were already in the car, he had tuned in to a nursery rhyme which they all sang to. The amusement park was located on the other side of town; he was left no choice than hit the pedal if they will be there in good time. After about thirty minutes into the journey, the kids had slept off. Patrick was constantly checking the back to make sure they were okay. He seized the chance to have a glance at the empty seat beside him; it was the seat he had reserved only for his wife.

Whenever they had an outing which would sure warrant the use of the car, everyone knew their place in the vehicle. Patrick’s was behind the wheels, Janet’s place was next to her spouse, Christiana sat right next to the left window while Jules to the right. The other day, they’d made a light discussion on who would will be willing to sacrifice a seat if another child came in that never liked to be in the middle, to which Jules replied that two was a perfect number for kids.

The truth however was the fact that Patrick and Janet wanted another child.
