Braking to Stop
Once again, just because you are on a motorcycle doesn’t mean that stopping situations are any different from those you face driving your car. It’s just the mechanics of stopping that change. Just like braking to slow, use smooth, steady braking with increasing pressure on both brakes. Use less pressure on the rear brake pedal than on the front brake lever. That front brake is doing most of the work. To bring the bike to a smooth stop, you are going to continue your smooth brake application with your right hand and your right foot, judging the distance and closing speed to the exact point you want to stop and adjusting and modulating as necessary.
