2 large granny smith apples, chopped
½ teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons flour
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup caramel sauce
Large flake sea salt
Sanding sugar
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Then, butter a baking tray. Cut 16 circles out of your pie crust about 3 - 4 inches.
2. Combine apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, sugar and flour in a large bowl. Generously spoon mixture onto one side of 8 pie crusts, use another pie crust circle to top the one filled with apples.
3. Next, carefully use a fork to press down and seal the edges. Gently stick the top with a knife or fork to create steam holes.
4. Sprinkle with sea salt and sanding sugar.
5. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes until the topping and crust are golden and the mixture is bubbling.
6. Lastly, let them cool in the pan for 15 minutes then remove to a wire rack to cool completely. Top with caramel before serving.
