When I return home from work, Donovan is sitting at his desk, pouring over a history book. I stroll up from behind, and he quickly spins around, his hands pushed out in front of him. “You stay right there.”

I blink and roll my eyes at him, just as he so often does to me. “Can’t I even give my boyfriend a kiss?” I say oh-so-sweetly.

“Remember, kisses are safe ground,” he says like it is a paranoid warning. “You are not allowed to try anything while kissing me.”

“Geez, relax.” Straddling my legs around him, I sit in his lap and our tongues do a luscious dance that send my senses reeling. “Mmm… keep kissing me like that and I’ll risk losing time off of the clock while begging you to take me into the bedroom.”

“Who says you have to beg?” Donovan eases me off of him, and then wraps me in an impassioned embrace, nibbling at my neck and making my body weak.

My words are baited by his tender touch. “No one, but I plan to make you beg.”

“Mmm… After what happened last night I think I need to fight harder than ever. I shudder to think what could come next.”

I let out a soft, yet maniacal laugh. “I have every intent of making you my little bitch.”

“Oh, no way! That is so not going to happen.”

“It will when I win.”

Donovan jerks back. “You stay away. Don’t touch me.”

My voice turns diminutive and sweet as I run a finger down his arm. “What’s the matter, D-boy? Is the big, bad jock afraid of the wussy, little pastry chef?” Like a switch has been flipped I give him an intense look of desire while deepening my voice and gripping his hand, “Come on, baby. Bend over and let daddy give you some sugar.”

A look of panic overcomes him. “Oh no! You stop with that voice. Don’t you dare call me baby, and let go of my hand. You’re going to try bending my thumb back. I’m telling you right now that if you do I will let it break. You will snap my hand before—”

“I promise that I will not do anything with your thumb,” I say sweetly. “You won’t be in danger of anything breaking.” My hand slides up his right arm and my finger jabs into his armpit, just behind the bone.

“Ow! What the hell are you doing?”

“I win.”

“What are you talking about?”

“I just let you off easy. There is a pressure point right here.” Again I jab and he winces. “It will hurt like hell if I let you have it. In fact, if I do it on the other side your heart could stop.”

“Saying it doesn’t count. You actually have to take me down.”

“You want me to make your heart stop? I can think of more exciting ways to do that, and I plan to now that I have won this bet.”

“Yes, I’d rather you kill me. Lily there is no way—” I interrupt him by sliding my hands down his pants, and he jerks away.
