Chapter 12

Piper didn’t want to see the shadows. They confused her. She wanted to fill her head with Marcus, who at that moment was stretched out on top of her weighing her down into the soft mattress, his body hot, his erection hard between them.

His breath fanned her face as he cupped her head in his hands. “This is going to be hard and fast. Will you tell me if I hurt you?”

Doubtful he could hurt her, she nodded. If he would only get on with it!

Kissing her deeply, he sucked her tongue into his mouth. Piper forgot all about the strange and misbehaving shadows on the walls.

Supporting his weight on one elbow, he started an exploration of her body under him with his other hand, down the column of her throat, her shoulder, and down her arm. Piper shivered, this time with pleasure when he finally cupped her breast. Her nipple was already a hot pebble before his thumb flicked over it, but when he rolled it between his fingers and tugged at it gently, she cried out into his mouth. The bitter-sweetness traveled all the way down her body to settle and pulse between her legs.

He moved his hand farther down her ribs to her waist, and then to her hip. Her arms tightened around his body in anticipation of his next move, when he slipped his hand around to her behind and fitted his palm around her cheek. He dug his fingers into her flesh, even as he reached farther down still, lifting her slightly toward him, his fingers reaching between her legs.

She moaned into his mouth.

This time, he lifted his head and moved her knee aside so he could push his fingers into her. His eyes scorched hers when he said, “You are so wet and ready for me. I want to be in here.”

She wanted him in there, too. He surprised her when his lips fastened around her engorged nipple and sucked hard, his tongue working around the peak, while simultaneously moving her other knee out of the way to work his hand between their bodies and cup her sex in the palm of his hand. She tilted her hips into his hand, wanting more, faster. So many sensations, she was on fire for him.

Lifting his head, he ground between clenched teeth, “I’m sorry, Piper, I can’t wait. I have to have you now.” He positioned the tip of his shaft at her entrance. The moment he made contact with her hot, wet flesh, his control was gone, and he rammed into her, forcefully, burying himself balls deep in her, all the way to her core. He stretched her almost painfully, filling her so much she thought she was coming apart. Her heels dug into the bed, her fingers convulsed in the sheet under her.

A gasp escaped her at the welcome intrusion.

Marcus stilled, lifting his head to look at her but he was beyond holding back. With his eyes on hers, he withdrew slightly and rammed back into her.
