Interlude

Bright particles of light swam together until three figures formed out of the cosmic soup around them. The old woman spoke first, “How did their first meeting go?”

“Well, Selina is already hooked and ecstatic that Rea is a lesbian. She loves the farm and all the animals, as we knew she would,” Nita said.

“How’s Rea doing, Sherry?” Lily asked.

“She’s equally enchanted by Selina, but she’s nervous with the situation and still has her barriers up. It’s going to take something more to punch through them, or she won’t open up. We need to prod her a bit. Do you have any ideas?”

“Humm. My Lina isn’t one to share her most intimate thoughts with others either, and it’s crucial she does so at this time. I’ll nudge another meteor their way to get them talking, and Nita, why don’t you show each of them your wolf guise again.” Lily was quiet for a moment while she contemplated more options.

“The timing is not quite right tonight, but soon Nita, I’ll want you to make yourself known to them somehow when they are both together. That should be shocking enough to shake a few more things loose. Are you up for that?”

“Yes, I’ll stay close and watch for the right opening, but Sherry, you need to keep up the subliminal push against Rea’s emotional defenses.”

“My influence with her usually comes into play when she’s dreaming, so I will focus on that. But I will do my best to make my presence felt when Rea’s awake as well.”

“Okay, so Nita will make her impact felt on the physical plane, while you, Sherry, can work on Rea’s subconscious. I’ll use my energy to try and draw both halves of their souls together when I feel their emotions are aligning. Is there anything else?”

“I could use a little metaphysical boost if I’m going to be manifesting more,” Nita stated.

“Well, let’s share energy then,” Lily said, lifting her shining arms out, and both women gravitated toward her. She brought them in for a group embrace, and waves of ethereal light danced around them like the aurora borealis.

When their forms separated again, Lily said, “Okay, let’s get to it then,” and they flickered out of sight.
