“I thought the point of this evening was to submit yourself for punishment and get it over with,” Asa replied casually. It was a struggle to keep his tone even and light, but worth it seeing the shudder that wracked Fisher’s body.

“What did you have in mind?” his ex‐lover asked, not bothering to hide his desire. Oh yeah. Game on.

But there were a couple of other matters to discuss first. Some time during dinner, Asa had changed his mind. Or had just been slapped with reality. Whatever. It didn’t matter which was the more truthful assessment. It wasn’t just sex with the werelion. It never had been, and it never could be. This was his world, his little family, and he was sick and damned tired of them being apart. Jaz had taken her first steps forward today. The question was how much of himself was Fisher ready or willing to commit?

There would be no half measures. He’d spent so much time reigning in his true nature for Jaz. The dominance, the need to control.

The utter and complete possessiveness. It was a relief to let it all loose.

“You do this, and there’s no going back. No changing your mind later.”

He pinned Fisher with his most dominating glare, a look that made almost everyone back down. Not Fisher. The werelion was his match in every way. He just smiled. Lazy. Inviting.
