LIBRA: Cardinal Air—Initiate Understanding

Balance among two is an outcome the honorable Libra is obligated to acquire for the zodiac. Libra’s Venus-instructed rules provide both parties with mediations of compromise, negotiation, and the difficult but plausible win/win scenarios.

Benefactor of the beautiful autumn equinox, Libra’s mind registers that an old way is dying and a new way must begin. Its cardinal rhythm lets an old way fade out from the song. Libra inspires a key-change midway in the Universe’s song from an ode to the rugged individualist to the wedding procession. For Libra makes way for a sanctuary of romantic interpersonal development, listening without relating but understanding, and alternative possibility for committed partnership.

Libra’s time of day is sunset. On the Western Hemisphere, the Sun as astrology’s dynamic source of life and our will stares down at the Moon on the east, our emotional reception and safety. At the hour of twilight, the Universe asks Libra to see to it that both the Sun’s and the Moon’s preferences are held in perfection. With a function of interpersonal understanding as a gift and obligation, Libra is responsible for conflict transformation, devil’s advocacy, equality, and above all, helping themselves and others initiate the “container” of a romantic relationship in which both partners’ light and shadow are safe to dwell without abandonment.

Balance is key for Libra. With fluency in aesthetic and relationship harmony, Libras are best served to find a career that allows them to be in equilibrium, of course. From interior design to litigation, Libra is competent in any environment that allows them to creatively find harmony and interpersonal understanding. The labor required for brilliant social techniques and even artistic contributions is not immediately observable in the dominant world thinking. Libra would be wise to declare expectations and boundaries as proactively with colleagues and even supervisors as possible. Because although their work is beautiful, it’s not easy. It must be respected from the beginning so others know who and what Libra is working with.

Libras are fine artists of love and romance so are they are required to understand and experience it. As such, the Universe organizes the Libran experience to educate them quickly on the theory and practice of love. Given the sacredness of romance, Libra should move slowly with serious commitment, given the worth and labor of a committed partnership. Since I believe we do the most important work to qualify for romantic relationships when we are not in them, Libra must allow themselves alone time to know not only who they are but what they are offering the lucky suitors whom they commit to. If you’re among the endless number of people who are crushing on Libras, be romantic and socially gracious. The previous touchstone of boundaries is essential for Libras in love too. Libras must articulate proactively what is and is not okay so that partners can act in integrity in relationship experiences.
