The Negative Ego is Laying a Trip on You

Dear Dr. Stone,

I feel as if I’m a disappointment to the Ascended Masters; that I’m not working fast enough on my “mission” or path in this lifetime. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. It took going through the 12 Steps of AA to accelerate my own growth, and it feels I spend a lot of time working on myself. I work, like most people, so “extra” time seems to be spent lately on a lot of spiritual reading and this emotional clearing business. This emotional clearing, I agree, I need to deal with, but I realize it’s not going to be just a two month project. I just read in Hidden Mysteries that the most important relationship is with yourself. I don’t have any other intimate relationships going on right now, so I can focus on moi. Part of me feels it somewhat selfish; the other part recognizes the necessity of it all. And a third part says let’s create more time to work on what I feel my “mission” is. (I would like to start a Global Renaissance Alliance group, mentioned by Marianne Williamson in her Healing of America book. I haven’t read that one yet, just heard about the group formation. I’ve been focusing on your books and being prepared properly for Wesak.)

There, at least I feel better sharing this with you. I guess I feel close to you and your philosophy upon reading your publications. I understand if you are not able to answer this; I’m sure you get many e-mails. Sometimes, I know if we put it out in the universe, our answer is revealed to us.
