It was a pleasant night. Everyone looked happy and almost drunk, to a point where Maggie thought that her problems were going to go away just like her best friend had promised her. All her projects failed and the only thing that seemed to work for her was education. She hadn’t even been employed one single time since she reached sixteen. Everyone seemed to push her away except her best friend and her parents and probably her dog that she was always holding onto.

The fact that she lived far away from her parents and her best friend was a social bird meant that Maggie had a lot of alone time to reflect on how bad her life was. But just when she was about to give up, her best friend swooped in and promised to save the day. She guaranteed results and a new life and possibly endless possibilities for Maggie. If there was something that had made Maggie happier than that then it was immediately forgotten. She trusted her friend and knew that things were going to be alright. What she did not know was that she was in for a big surprise.

Susanna was a popular woman. Everyone loved her company. She was funny, she knew how to party and she was social to everyone. To anyone who needed friends, Susanna was a person to look up to. But while to everyone else in her life was a bed of roses, to her, life was made of thorns. To her, her best friend had the best life, she was smart and witty and she did not have a lot of crap to deal with. She did not have to worry about a lot of things such as whom and how to impress. And she had all the money in the world.

But she was always whining. Susanna would always try to show sympathy but then again there was so much she could take so she decided to help. Her mode of operation was different from other people. She was not as smart as Maggie, but she knew how to drive a point home. So she decided that she was going to teach Maggie a lesson with the party and show her that there were better things in life. To show her that there was something better than stupid friends.

Maggie had money, and she had a lot of resources to make a party to die for.
