GLENNA, ATTERBERRY, and Robyn waited under the trees while Ash and Flutter went in search of the man. As the minutes passed, Glenna wondered how different the Greyfell in Otherworld would be from the Phillip Greyfell she knew.

Atterberry leaned against the trunk of an oak, his eyes closed, and snored loudly. Robyn shook his head, disgusted.

“Atterberry!” he said, nudging him. “Wake up!”

Glenna grinned as Atterberry peered at her with one sleepy eye, keeping the other firmly shut. “Humph,” he snorted, yawning, and stretched his arms high above his head. He ran one hand through his wild hair, further mussing it, and smacked his lips together thoughtfully. “We shall need a map.”

“Oh, I have one!” Glenna cried, happy to be of use. “I picked it up the first day of the festival. It's in....” She thrust her hand into her satchel. “Here....” She withdrew her hand, staring at it in horror.

It was covered with a thick, black substance. “What...?” Glenna muttered. She was so shocked, she found herself unable to finish her question.

Atterberry's eyes lit up. “I do believe that is....” Taking her satchel, he thrust his hand inside, removing a clump of thick oozing blackness. He shoved it into his mouth, chewing happily. Licking his fingers, he grinned. “Fergie's chocolate cake. Why didn't you tell me you had some sooner?”

“I... didn't know,” Glenna said, staring at her hand. She must have shoved that whole gooey cake into my satchel. I guess she meant it as a surprise. “My map...,” Glenna said helplessly.

“Here it is.” Atterberry pulled a piece of paper from his mouth and studied it. “Or part of it at least.” He chewed slowly. “I think I may have eaten a small bit of the corner.”

Glenna sighed. “Never mind.”
