CARING FOR YOUR LABRADOODLE

Labradoodles have thick coats that need regular grooming.

Before deciding to get a Labradoodle, your family should think about what a Labradoodle will need. All dogs should be groomed. Grooming includes brushing and combing your dog’s coat. Brushing cleans the dog’s coat. Combing keeps it free of tangles.

Some Labradoodles have shorter coats that do not tangle. Owners can groom these types of Labradoodles at home. Other Labradoodles have longer fleece or wool coats. Special equipment is needed to groom these types of coats. People who own these types of Labradoodles should take their dogs to a professional groomer about once every four to six weeks.
