Chapter Fourteen

When I wake up again, the sheets next to me are still warm and I hear the shower running in the next room. I check the time and see only a few hours have gone by and we should probably go down to dinner. I have no doubt that everyone in the house is wondering where we are.

Not to mention, there’s still the problem of Jose being attacked and dumped at the boutique. It’s easy to forget other problems when you’re being driven to the height of madness with need.

I force my legs over to the side of the bed and stand up slowly. My body is deliciously sore. And the thought of Nico naked in the shower makes me go straight for the bathroom. Who’s to say he doesn’t want some company.

When I push open the door, steam escapes. The mirror is already covered and I can just see the outline of his body through the glass. I watch for a moment, letting my eyes adjust to the fog.

Nico is a bit thinner than I remember. The toll this war has taken on him has been immense. Now that he’s here, in my shower, I know it’s not only the war but being away from me that has taken effect. I don’t ever want to be separated from him again. Reaching forward, I slide the door open and step in behind him.

“Enjoying the view?” he asks without turning around.

“How did you know?”

“I’ve been watching the door, waiting for you to join me.”

I run my hands down his water slicked skin. “Why didn’t you wake me?”

“You’re still healing and you need your rest.”

My fingers stop and I take a step back. “How would you know?”

I turn and he steps forward, and then again until my back comes in contact with the back wall of the shower. “I told you I talk to my mom every day. Plus, your doctor and I talked at least once a week.”

“So you were keeping tabs on me?”

“Possibly.” He lowers his mouth to mine.

The tile is cold on my skin while the front of me is on fire from the heat of Nico’s lips. The heat of them sears me in every place they touch.

He moves the across my cheek and down my neck, tracing a path down to my breast and back up to my ear.

“I love these sexy, full lips.” Nico’s fingers run gently over my lower lip and I suck his index finger between my lips, running my tongue along his finger.

He thrusts his hips, pulling his finger from my lips. His eye glitter when he sinks his hand into my hair, tugging hard.

“Down,” he commands.

With the force of his hand in my hair, I lower to my knees onto the slippery shower floor. His cock stands at attention. Precum leaks from the tip. I stick my tongue out tasting him.

A deep groan reverberates off the walls of the shower, echoing into the rest of the room. He yanks my head back so I can look up into his face.
