The simplest materials often offer us big opportunities to entertain. With this game, your child will develop his/her skill, ability, and, above all, his/her patience to dissolve the knots and tangles that he/she and his/her friends have made. It is a race against the clock so as not to lose an article, and a good excuse to share laughs with friends.
⢠Age: 7â10 years
⢠Number of participants: two to ten
⢠Space: wherever
⢠Materials:
* a cord of average thickness with about 31 ½ inches (80 cm) in length for each player
* a stopwatch or clock with a second hand
⢠Method: This game consists of being able to untangle the cord before the rest of the participants. You should have in your hand a stopwatch or a clock with a second hand and a practicing referee. Upon your signal, your little one and his/her friends should focus on tying and messing up the cord the best that they can. After thirty seconds you give a new signal so the first player stops tangling the cord. Next, he/she runs the tangled cord to the friend-opponent to his/her right, who should continue the task of tangling and making knots in the cord that he/she just had passed to him/her. Every fifteen seconds you give a new signal, for as many parts of the game that there are. After you order, âUntangle!â all should hasten the untangling of the cord that they have in their hands at that moment. He/she who first untangles the cord will be the winner. If you want to make the game more interesting, you can ask for a token from the last-place finisher.
