Attacks on Turkish positions were almost a daily occurrence.

Collet is a great bomb dropper, and is always producing bomb sights. Thomson and Major Hogg quite upset the equilibrium of a big camp with two 100 lb bombs, they hit a lot of tents and must have killed a lot of Turks.

We visited a big camp near Boghali twice and got some beauties into the middle of it at between 6.30 and 7 am, just as life was on the move in camp.

The amount of shells the Turks fire at aeroplanes nowadays must keep the guns hot. But the shooting is futile and after Ostend it is not worth paying any attention to. Of course they will get better with practice, and I’m afraid we give them plenty. So far the only hits on machines have been rifle bullets.
