Beneficial Health Practices

IN ADDITION TO TAKING SUPPLEMENTS TO ENHANCE OUR HEALTH AND nutritional status, our daily routine may be supplemented by various healthy practices.

Consuming drinks at moderate temperature. Extreme temperatures are damaging to the stomach lining and should be avoided. Warm drinks should be cool enough to dip the finger into comfortably, while cool drinks should not be straight out of refrigerator or with ice but should be allowed to warm up to where they are cool, not cold. Warm and cool are each fine. Hot and cold are to be avoided for the sake of the stomach lining. Many people are numb to such an extent that they do not find it uncomfortable to drink fluids that are so hot as to be most unpleasant if poured on their skin.

Colonic irrigation. Colonic irrigations are an excellent means of clearing old impacted debris from the colon. Care should be taken that the water used is pure, that all equipment is properly sterilized, and that the water is introduced at low pressure, e.g. with a gravity feed system, so as not to injure the colon. An initial series of colonic irrigations several times per week is often helpful, while in the long run it may be done with good results at intervals of one or more months. Enemas as well as self-administered colemas or high enemas are also quite beneficial for colon health, and hence for the health of the entire body. While a clean bowel is certainly not the only factor involved in good health, it is nonetheless an important factor that should not be ignored. Many health problems elsewhere in the body will respond positively to colonic therapy. Colonics are primarily for those in poor health. Once the bowels are functioning properly, colonics should only be used occasionally if at all.

Two ounce mineral retention enema. This may be done with liquid minerals either straight, or diluted, or with a mineral capsule rehydrated. The exact strength of the solution is not vital. The fluid is inserted into the rectum using an enema syringe, and is retained up to twenty minutes. The procedure is excellent for individuals with problems in the lower bowel, especially the sigmoid colon and rectum. Schweitzer fluid may also be used in the retention enema with good results, as strictures are generally accompanied by scar tissue which the Schweitzer will help to dissolve.

Exercise. As the motion of the muscles is a primary mover of the lymph throughout the lymphatic system, simple forms of exercise such as walking and swimming will be of great benefit to the lymphatic system and hence the entire body.

Exercise on mini-trampoline or rebounder. Start with thirty seconds three times per day and work up to five minutes three or more times per day. This is a highly efficient form of exercise for the lymphatic system, excellent for the entire body and suitable for most everyone. It literally benefits every cell in the body. For those who lack agility or balance, this may be
