When you discover the ability to get timely, expert information from LinkedIn members, it’s only natural to be like a kid with a great new toy and fire away whenever you have a question. But this is a community where karma counts, and for the community to really work, you must give as well as receive. This means that you should plan to answer questions and not just ask them. More than one LinkedIn expert advised that members abide by the 80/20 rule and answer four questions for every one asked. You may not have to be quite so exacting about it, actually keeping a score of each question asked and answered, but answering more questions than you ask is definitely the way to be a valued LinkedIn neighbor.
