Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

(1 Peter 5:7)

Care produces fear. So we must get rid of it quickly. Scripture uses the word casting. The process is ongoing. We must continually cast our cares upon him so that fear becomes like water that cannot penetrate a duck’s back. Anxiety should have no place in the heart of a Christian because it is evidence of a lack of trust in God. “For He cares for you.” In other words, the love that he proved at the cross is evidenced through his daily care. Believe it and you will have peace. Doubt it and you will have fear. The daily choice is ours.
