SATURN WHEEL

The progressed Moon tells us about our feelings about life. Saturn, as you know, tells us about the structure of life. An unusual technique for examining the structure we are building or need to build is called a Saturn wheel. This is not an event-oriented predictive technique but a good indication of the structure you are creating in your life. It is very simple. First draw a basic astrological wheel with the twelve houses. Place the current position of Saturn in the ascendant position and then go around the wheel placing each succeeding sign on the house cusp. Use Saturn’s degree for each cusp. If you want to look at past dates, just fill in Saturn’s position for any time period you want to examine. For example, on December 21, 2003, Saturn was located at 1037. Therefore, the sign on the Second House would be 1037. Place your natal planets in the wheel according to where they fall with this new ascendant. This is where you are creating or need to create structure. In Chart 4, this person was looking for work and trying to make sense of his financial life in 2003. His Moon/Pluto conjunction in Leo fell in the Second House of the Saturn wheel. It is a perfect description of what needed his attention.

This technique is astrological shorthand, but it works very well. According to the houses that your planets fall in on the Saturn wheel, you can pinpoint where you should concentrate your energy to move forward.
