It had been hours, and nighttime had fallen. A nigga had been in the house for damn near ten hours before India arrived. I had smoked blunt after blunt to ease my mind. My phone had been going off like crazy, but I ignored it. Right now, I needed to focus on the task at hand.

“Now, I know I sprayed in here before I left!” India cut the light on and was like a deer in headlights.

“What’s good, rat? Have a seat.” I grabbed my gun from the table and placed it in my lap. Tears poured from her eyes, but it meant nothing to me. The bitch could save the tears because she was heartless.

“I’m sorry for everything, G. I just wanted to get to know who my birth mother was. I had no idea Melissa was holding your mom or sister hostage. As a matter of fact, the moment I found out, I went to my old superiors about it. That’s the only reason how I ended up right back working with the police. I was telling the truth when I said I was done with that part of my life. All I wanted to do was come back and be with my family, but you wouldn’t give me a chance, not with her in the picture.

“Your sister’s name is Miyani. Don’t be afraid to speak her name. You weren’t afraid when you were plotting with your miserable excuse for a mother. Tell me something. Why does Melissa treat Miyani so fucked up? To my understanding, Butch is both of y’all daddy. She birthed both of y’all, so why does she hate Miyani? Give me some shit I can work with. Maybe I’ll consider sparing your worthless ass life.”

I know this bitch knows something about Melissa’s plans and whereabouts.

“I don’t know anything, Givenchy!” India started to cry harder, but I didn’t give a fuck. She needed to know that I wasn’t here to play with her deceitful ass.

“I don’t know why Melissa hates Miyani. As a matter of fact, I don’t know why she hates either of her daughters. It’s not just Miyani or Gavin. She hates them both. The only reason she fucked with Gavin was because of who her father was.”

“Speaking of Malcolm, did she kill that man?”

“Yes, she was poisoning him with arsenic for months until he collapsed. She didn’t expect shit to go down the way it did. Not only did she call Gavin over there for her son's grandparents, but she called her to sign insurance papers as well. Melissa has been trying to get her alone to make her do it. She hasn’t been able to do it because Prada doesn’t let Gavin out of his sight. Both Gavin and Miyani have inherited money from Malcolm. From what I was told, she found documents that showed when he died, and everything would go to his daughters and nothing to her. That’s when she started to poison him slowly. She didn’t expect him to die before talking to Gavin about making her the trustee over their money.
