Liquid soaps

CDC recommends that liquid soaps with hands-free control for dispensing content are more effective in removing bacterial and germs than solid soaps. Solid soaps may still hold up some bacterial and germs after use although, the transfer of bacterial is unlikely .

Ash

Ash is also a disinfecting agent like soaps. This is because it's alkaline. WHO recommends the use of ash as an alternative to soaps if the latter is unavailable. However, this is not to say that ash is more effective than soaps.
