I was beaming with pride, and Dr. Dodman looked like a proud professor. I’m sure that Hogan felt like his star pupil.

We exited the stage when our interview was over and waited in the wings of the studio at the request of the floor manager. Some of the audience members asked to make our acquaintance, and we were more than happy to visit with them. After the tapings of the regular show and a commercial for the Chicago Bulls basketball team were complete, a couple of dozen folks came by for us to meet and greet. Several had questions. Others wanted to pose for a picture with Hogan, and still others just wanted to pet his head. We were delighted that he didn’t mind being touched on his head anymore.

Oprah, being her usual, gracious self, came over to us and offered her heartfelt appreciation for visiting her show. I inquired, “May I ask you a special favor?”

Oprah responded instantly, “I know; you’d like a picture of me with Hogan. Right? Not with you, but with Hogan.” How perceptive!

Hogan’s hope was for greater awareness and understanding that would create a world of support, solutions, and success

for all God’s creations.

Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.

I Peter 3:8 NIV
