“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 ESV

The valley is a season of walking, not running. In seasons where God “makes us lie down” (Psalm 23:2), the last thing we should try to do is rush through it.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

If you try to simply get out of the valley or rush through it, you may actually stay there longer. There is a season for running, but now is not that season. This is not to be a time of busyness or productivity. Healing will come as you “Be still and know that He is God” (Psalm 46:10).
