It is important to note that in the case of class changes, it is only possible to move to a class with a lower storage cost. This means that if we are in a class of the Standard type, we can move to a class of the Nearline, Coldline, or Archive type.

Rule conditions

In this section, we will review some of the options we have for specifying conditions to configure our life cycle rules and thus be able to execute removal or class change actions on our objects:

Age: The condition that is fulfilled when a particular object reaches the indicated age in days

CreatedBefore: The condition that is met when an object is created prior to the specified date

CustomTimeBefore: The condition that is met when an object is created prior to the date specified in the Custom-Time field of the metadata

DaysSinceCustomTime: The condition that is met when an object reaches the specified age in days from the date specified in the Custom-Time field of the metadata

MatchesStorageClass: The condition that is met when an object corresponds to a specified class
