THURSDAY, JANUARY 20

8:31 a.m. The Buttery

Ms. Sparks must have put some kind of charm on us because we all slept like LOGS and didn’t hear a thing. We’re feeling much braver now that it’s morning.

Puck and Fabi can barely finish their breakfast cake as they’re too busy asking questions about last night.

“It must have been Old Maggitty!” says Puck. “I am SO JEALOUS!”

“Me, too,” says Fabi. “We haven’t heard anything…except for Hunter snoring.”

“Promise you’ll come and get us if you hear it tonight? Maybe we should all go on a ghost hunt.”

That almost sounded fun in the DAYLIGHT, but then I look down the table and catch Blair’s eye. I know she can hear what we’re talking about, and she doesn’t look like she wants to go on a ghost hunt. Not with us, anyway.
