GALILEO’S TELESCOPE

Even though Galileo didn’t invent the first telescope himself, he did have ideas to make it more useful. He used math to figure out how to change the lenses to magnify faraway objects even more. Galileo made the first telescope through which people could see objects in space.

THE TRUTH IN THE TELESCOPE

Aristotle was a Greek scientist born in 384 BC. He said that all the planets revolved around Earth. People believed this for almost 2,000 years. In the 1500s, Polish scientist Nicolaus Copernicus suggested that Earth and the other planets revolved around the sun. Though Copernicus couldn’t prove his theory then, Galileo did many years later.
