Telling my parents went about as well as you would expect. At first, they thought I was sick and needed to see a doctor for hallucinations.

Yeah, that was about as fun as you can imagine.

Then came the part where David, ever the impatient man he seems to be, let his wings free and I thought Dad was going to have a heart attack. Mom…well she didn’t say much for quite a while, but you can bet your ass she inspected those wings to see how real they really were. By the time she was finished, she was awestruck.

In the end, everyone seemed to be on the same page. Regardless of the fact that I was born a succubus, I am inherently good, and everything would be okay in the end. I had no plans of ever turning evil.

Hell, the evilest thing I’ve done in my life is knee Colten in the nuts for getting in my space. And he deserved it, the fucker.

Okay, so my brain may be a bit skewed and I may swear like a sailor, but so does Bry and he’s full on good. I’ve never met anyone as good hearted as him in my life.

I’m really glad I got to tell my parents and they know the truth and still love me. They made it very clear that none of this changed me being their little girl and I can’t begin to tell you how much pressure that took off me. The only person from my ‘old life’ that needs to know and doesn’t, is Addy. She was at school and we couldn’t stay longer and wait for her to get back.

Given everything that my parents learned, they signed a form giving David special permission to make requests on my behalf with the school as well since he is a part of this world much more than they ever would be. They trusted him to keep me safe and so did I. Or rather, I trust Bry who trusted him. It’s not that I don’t trust David, I just don’t know him that well yet. I guess you could say I trust him where it counts.
