Put the ingredients into the bread pan in the correct order for your machine.

Fit the pan into the bread machine and close the lid.

Select the BASIC WHITE setting, MEDIUM CRUST and the appropriate SIZE. Press Start.

When the program has finished, lift the bread pan out of the machine, turn the bread out on to a wire rack and leave to cool completely.

Cheddar and Rosemary Loaf

A savoury bread that is good served warm or at room temperature with vegetable soups, meat, poultry or sausages. This recipe is best not cooked using the delay timer.

1 tsp Easybake yeast

400g/14 oz strong white bread flour

100g/4 oz strong wholemeal flour

1 tsp fine sea salt

1 tsp golden caster sugar

1 tbsp finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves

350ml/12 fl oz water

115g/4 oz mature Cheddar cheese, grated
