Nee Nee

There weren’t enough words in any language to describe the tingling sensation coursing through my body as a pair of strong hands stroked my back. I had no idea that the events from the night before would lead to an intense morning of lovemaking, but I was glad I’d worn my lace thong. It had been so long since I’d been touched in the places that made me sing, and feeling guilty was the last thing on my mind. Actually, the only thing on my mind was the orgasm rising between my legs.

“Oh my God!” I cried out to my lover. I didn’t care that other guests staying at the W New Orleans might be able to hear me. Nobody and nothing was going to ruin my good mood this morning.

I felt him buck, letting me know that he too had reached his climax. He shivered with the aftershocks, and I gently kissed up his neck to his chin, coaxing him through it.

“That was so good, baby,” I whispered as he rolled from in between my legs. “Oh, I needed that.”

“Me too.”

I propped myself up on my arm and stared into the handsome face of my husband, Larry Duncan, the only man who could ever make me feel this good. The smile on my face had been there since last night. I was so happy to be reunited with my love. The initial shock of seeing him pop up in a Cyrano De Bergerac mask at the ball had damn near made me jump out of my shoes. I was so pleased to see him, but I didn’t want to draw too much attention to us. I had no idea what he was doing there or how he had gotten there, and until I found out, I didn’t want Curtis or Lauryn to know.

“Baby?”

“Hmm?” he responded sleepily with his eyes closed.

I knew I only had a few moments before he was in a full-blown sex coma. He told me he always got the best sleep after we made love. Unfortunately, he’d have to pause on that rest.

I gently shook his arm. “Wake up. I need to ask you something.” I shook his arm again.

“Look, I’m not as young as I used to be, so if you want another round, you’re gonna have to give me a minute,” he said with a yawn, finally opening his eyes.

“Larry!” I laughed and swatted him. “While I’m not opposed to that at all, I have something else on my mind. Why are you here?”

He turned to face me and took in the searching look I gave him. I surely thought he was going to tell me something that would make my heart drop, which was why I’d waited so long to ask.

Instead, he leaned up and kissed me softly on the lips. “It’s simple, really. I missed you. It’s been lonely without you, baby.”

Instead of making my heart drop, the sincerity in his voice did melt it a bit. If anyone could understand his loneliness, I could.
