Misty

What the heck was I doing? My brain was confused. That was not good, since I relied on my common sense to guide me when all else failed. The feel of Landon’s lips on my neck teased me to the point of no return. It was as if his lips and hands controlled every inch of my body. My legs, which felt like jelly left out in the sun too long, wouldn’t work to walk away. Nor would my arms garner the strength to push him away.

My mind was swirling. Where were the ill thoughts, the red flags? No thoughts at all were present. And I couldn’t shake the “happier than ever” feel racing through me as his strong hands touched my body and our tongues danced together.

“Oh God!” I mumbled. I needed an intervention that was not coming soon enough.

His lips covered mine and ignited sparks within me that I hadn’t felt in a long time. His kisses made me want more.

It was like my world had revolved around nothing until he possessed me. I buried myself in him, leaving all worries behind while bliss washed over me like a great wave crashing onto the shore.

The robes acted as a barrier, preventing a rush for our need for each other. However, his hand somehow slipped between a gap in my robe and ran lightly over my shoulder. I moaned softly into his mouth. He kissed back to my neck, and the slight stubble on his chin scraped against the sensitive skin on my neck.

The heat from Landon’s lips scorched my neck as his tongue darted out like a snake, stoking the fire inside of me into a raging inferno. I felt my body trembling, my breasts heavy with desire as my nipples pressed against the fabric of my robe, wanting to be free from their constraints.

A dizzying sensation overwhelmed me before he laid me on the luxurious lounger. His body was heavy atop me as he ravaged me with his mouth as if I were his last supper. My senses whirled as his tongue explored every crevice of my mouth, stirring forbidden desires within me.

My heart throbbed with temptation, wanting to succumb to the sin that was tempting me so sweetly.

Alarms suddenly went off in my head.

What if he had slept with Mary during their last few days together? Would I be okay sleeping with him knowing that?

He ran his hand over my breast, and electricity radiated throughout my entire body from his touch. Then he tugged at the knot on my robe, and it started to come undone. Once that happened, I would be completely exposed and vulnerable.

Landon pulled his lips away from mine. He whispered in my ear, warm breath tickling as he said, “I want you so bad.”

Those were key words for many women to let their guard down and give in to the lust and pleasure to follow. But my brain couldn’t understand what exactly had gone down between him and Mary. I needed clarity that their relationship was indeed over.
