Overview

These three nerves enable us to move our eyes, and are the nerves involved in squints. We will address them together, because they serve similar functions, and because they also follow very similar pathways from the brainstem to the orbit (Figure 24.1). They operate in conjunction with each other, in order to move the eyeball, and thereby direct the gaze in different directions.
