CHAPTER TWELVE

Mason laid her on the bed and ripped his shirt off before he fell on top of her. Brandi cupped her hand around the back of his head and brought his face down to her mouth. He was eager to feel her lips beneath his. The sweet nectar of her mouth was mingled with the taste of him, and he found it extremely arousing.

Mason lifted his head to plant kisses along her jaw line. He couldn’t believe that he was finally here with her like this. It felt so right, like he’d never left her. The feel of her soft skin was like no other sensation he had ever experienced.

He looked down into her beautiful brown eyes. “You feel so good, taste so good.”

“So do you, Mason. I never thought….”

“What?”

“Nothing. Just don’t stop kissing me.”

“No, tell me. You never thought what?”

She gave him a look of uncertainty. “I don’t want to kill the moment.”

“Trust me, darling, as hard as I am, there’s no way you could possibly kill this moment.” He caressed her cheek. Brandi closed her eyes as though savoring his touch against her face. It pleased him that she was so turned on by him. “Tell me,” he urged.

“It’s just that…after my husband died, I never thought it was possible for me to feel this way with anyone again.”

Mason’s heart fluttered, full of hope. “And how do you feel?” he asked softly.

“I know how you make me feel physically. When you touch me, it’s like you know all my secret spots. It’s like….”

“We were made for each other?” He raised a brow. He said those very words to her on their wedding night.

Her eyes widened. “Mason, I don’t know about that, but I know that when I’m in your arms, I can’t think straight, and the earth starts to spin.”

“Well, let’s just think about the here and now and how we make each other feel. Right now, I want to make you feel really good.”

“You already do,” she whispered.

He smiled at her, wishing he could tell her how much he loved her, but she wasn’t ready to hear it yet. Mason knew if he pushed things too quickly, it would scare her away.

He undid her blouse the rest of the way and pushed it off her body. She helped him unclip her bra. Brandi giggled as he made a big production out of pulling off her jeans. “Damn, these are tight. How was I able to keep my hands off you earlier?”

“I don’t know, which is why I had to take action. A girl has needs, too, you know.”

When he finally got her jeans off, he flung them to the far side of the room.

“The next time I see you in those jeans, I’m going to spank you.”

Brandi pouted playfully. “Why would you do that?”

“Because that’s what happens to bad girls, and only bad girls wear jeans like that.”

“”I’ve been very bad. What are going to do about it…or are you all talk?”

“Is that a challenge?”

“What do you think?” she taunted, licking her lips seductively.
