Unit 26
10 ways to use frameworks
Frameworks are a popular tool in Business English teaching. As the name suggests, they provide a âframeworkâ for structuring the spoken or written language you want students to use. Often, they are presented as diagrams or flowcharts but they can also simply take the form of bullet-point lists which guide the students. The language used in a framework might be a single word or heading to prompt the student. Alternatively, it might contain an expression or phrase which you want the student to use. Here are some examples of frameworks aimed at different business language areas and suggestions on ways to vary them for your own context.
