“Oh! Poor Buster!” Amber says. “He’s lost!”

“Poor Buster? Poor me!” I tell her. “Calvin is gonna kill me!”

“Don’t worry, Sam. We’ll help you find him,” says Jade.

“Where shall we look first?” Lewis asks.

I point the way Buster ran off.

“He ran round the corner,” I say.

“Come on, let’s go!” says Harvey.

We call out, “Buster! Here, boy!” as we walk.

We cross Lark Street, past the school.

But there is no Buster.

A woman comes along with her dog.

“Have you seen a dog running after a cat?” I ask her.

“Yes!” she snaps. “It was my cat, Fluffy!”

“Sorry!” I say.

“I shooed the dog off,” she tells us.

We go past an angry man.

He points to the ground.

“Look at that!” he yells. So we do.

Oh no, big paw prints!

“I bet that’s Buster,” Lewis says.

“Shushhh!” we all tell him.

And we move on – quickly!
