"As indicated, the entity was associated with those who dealt with mechanical appliances and their application, during the experience. And as we find, it was a period when there was much that has not even been thought of yet, in the present experience." (440-5; Dec. 20, 1933)

The next passage quoted from the same reading refers to the "firestone," or a device for producing power. It sounds very much like a fission or fusion process in which heat was converted directly to electrical energy. The application of this energy sounds as if the Atlanteans of the period had solved the problem of the wireless transmission of the power produced. This reading was given in 1933—before the development of atomic power plants, before the discovery of the laser and before anyone dreamed of a fusion process or the idea of containing hot plasma in a magnetic bottle. A layman today could scarcely describe our latest scientific developments any more clearly.
